Alcuin member David Alderson, recently assisted the Province in delivering a highly successful Treasures' Workshop at the Yorkshire Farming Museum. Well done David.
Attended by more than 40 delegates, the workshop brought together Lodge and Chapter Treasurers, Auditors, Examiners and others with responsibility for financial management. David, alongside Paul Hillary, led an engaging and interactive session covering the practical responsibilities of managing Lodge and Chapter finances, including current requirements and best practice.
The positive feedback from those attending reflects the value of the day, with one delegate commenting:
"It was extremely useful to me as I am about to become a Lodge Treasurer. To be aware of all the requirements of the role is an essential start, and the practical tips and advice given today will be invaluable"
The discussions continued over lunch, providing an excellent opportunity for delegates to share experiences and questions.
